So this is my third installment of the Shepard Series. I think this ending is for those who chose to fight and go out with a bang. It's Shepard staying true to her nature, ending the war in her own terms once and for all.
This ending also represents what the Reapers and the Catalyst say and think of organics: Chaos. This is raw and uncontrolled chaos. Yet, within chaos there's also excitement and raw beauty. As the song from Europe "Flames" says: "we are born to self destruct, here we go again. A desire to go down in flames."
*I also did a second part to this which is Regrets, showing Shepard surviving.
--------------------- Shepard Series ---------------------
TIM and Anderson manifest two different endings though Synthesis and Refusal represent other pathways. Still in the end the decision is Shepard and even in that it seems a staggering call for one life deciding the fate of trillions.
I don't think it would be an easy call. Or rather, it shouldn't be that easy. Which is where Refusal comes to play. Refusing the starchild and his choices and just carving another path (though that path ends with the destruction of everything).
So really it is like saying should I be the one to condemn all life in the galaxy to keep them from becoming Reapers in time, do I control the Reapers, do I destroy the Reapers, or do I force an evolution to negate the purpose of the Reapers? Never an easy call - Shepard's journey has been full of hard calls - still ages later - Shepard is a legend though children who grow up hearing about the Shepard - none of them will know the real story though their own stories are likely to be ones of hard calls too. Maybe not as many as the Shepard yet there we are faced with Shepard's hard calls.
Hello! Please don't. By rendering something, you end up losing the original artists' vision and watermark, so I would appreciate if it's not done. Thanks for the support though
